On Thursday 22 June, Canada joined other 40+ countries that have enacted laws to ban or limit animal testing for cosmetics. Budget Implementation Act (Bill C-47) now determines that all cosmetic testing on animals, as well as false or misleading labeling regarding testing of the safety of cosmetics, is now prohibited in Canada.
